The disadvantage of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of spam email messages, but this issue can be rectified using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound emails to a third-party email address.
